Presented here are 4 roof rack mounts contoured to fit the roof of Chevrolet Aveo automobiles. They are labeled FD - Front Driver Side, FP - Front Passenger, RD - Rear Driver, RP - Rear Passenger (swap for right hand drive vehicles).
You'll need 16 - 3/8in bolts, 16 washers, 16 lock nuts, 1 1in x 1in x 8ft square aluminum tube, 8 medium sized metal screws, (if you print the end caps) 12 small metal screws, and some silicone calk for the feet of the roof rack mounts.
Printed them in PETG with 2.4mm walls, top, and bottom and orientated them with the square tube hole facing up so the plastic layers would be vertical when mounted. Print with id (FP,RD, etc) letters facing down.
Also included is an end cap with a little protrusion on the end. Print these with the square tube whole facing horizontally and then clean up any sagging plastic overhang with a Dremel.
I slid the mounts onto a 4' piece of the aluminum square tube, making sure that the id (FP,RD, etc) letters face out away from the center of the car, and eyeballed them to get them basically level and aligned. Then drilled 3/8" holes into the vehicle's roof corresponding to each of the holes on the mounts. I put a healthy glob of silicone calk around each hole. And finally I pressed each roof rack over the holes and then bolted them down. Finish it off by drilling 2 holes on top of the mounts into the square tube and run some screws into the holes to secure the tube. Affix the end caps, drill holes on top and sides, and secure with screws.
