The Controller Couch is a modular controller stand for XBox Series X controllers. It securely displays 1 to 4 (or more!) XSX gamepads. It features a finger well to easily move the stand, as well as a user-selectable accent color behind the XBox logo.
Parts Required
Everything you need to assemble the stand is included in the STL files. You need only decide how many mid-sections to print based on how many controllers you want to display.
Print Settings
The assembly in the pictures was printed at the following settings:
- Printer: Prusa i3 MK3S+
- Print Settings
- 0.4mm nozzle
- 0.2mm layer height
- 3 shells sides
- 5 shells top and bottom
- 15% infill
- Filament: eSun eStars Galaxy Black PLA + generic silk green PLA
- Supports: Yes
- Brim: none
Print Instructions
- NOTE: All STL's are in imperial measurements (inches), not in millimeters.
- I suggest printing the body components (front, back, midsection) separately from the screws + insert.
- Print the screws at 100% infill.
- Print the screws at 50% speed if you have issues with bed adhesion.
- All parts except the screws need supports. I have included screenshots of where to paint the supports using your slicer software.
Assembly Instructions
- Remove the supports from all pieces and clean up support surfaces so they're nice and smooth.
- Snap the pieces into a chain using the dovetail joints.
- Gently and firmly use a screwdriver to slowly tighten the screws. They should tighten until slightly sunk below the surface. Do not overtighten.
- Slide the colored insert up into the cavity beneath the XBox logo.
- Place an adhesive felt pad in each corner of the stand.
- Enjoy your sweet controller display stand!
