I wanted to see if it was possible to print a sun catcher without fancy multilateral mechanisms. So here is one of my attempts. This time Tigger from Winnie the Pooh.

The frame acts like the leading in a stained glass window. It needs to be printed in transparent filament with a change to black at the layer where the lead lines would be.

Once completed, the coloured pieces are then glued into the relevant "gaps" in the frame. I used PVA glue and allowed it to set over a number of days.

I used PLA for the filament, sometimes I had to use PET as I couldn't find a translucent/transparent PLA of the right colour. This mostly worked, but sometimes I had to sand the PET pieces down a little to make it fit.
