I've been intrigued by the idea of 3D Printed "Stained Glass" for a while, and after LOTS of experimenting I came up with this.

Yorkshire Rose: Thats where I live ... :-)

The frame is printed in 2 colours, first half in clear then with black for the bits around the colour areas.

When the bits were printed I then glued them into their areas using PVA glue - it dries clear .. but it took around 5 days for it to finally clear.

All Rigid Ink PLA, colours used: Translucent Green, Natural, Pearl, Yellow, Black.

Print instructions

Category: 2D Art Print Settings

Printer Brand: Prusa

Printer: i3 MK3

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: 0.15mm

Infill: 25%

Filament: Ridgid Ink PLA Translucent
Notes:

My Prusa Mk3 printed is of the powder coated variety, this gives a pleasant mottled effect to the surface. So when I printed the inserts, I placed them all in the frame upside down, s the mottled bit was showing.

Post-Printing

PVA glue

I used PVA glue spread thinly in the frame, if you're not making the thing see through, then other glue should be fine.
