Note: Untested on 3DQF's latest (AMS compatible) spools. I designed these for the thick original style.
I print 3DQF's low-friction spool rings for all of my 3DQF PLA spools as they spin a lot better/looser on my spool holder, but I wanted something that showed off the colour a bit more. I was also breaking the odd one, so I equally wanted something a bit thicker.
I designed these rings on Fusion360, very much using the same approach as 3DQF's own rings but with thicker walls and edges that go right around the centre section. They show off the colour of the PLA from the side more too if you're storing on a wall etc). Just like the original design, these use a thin lip inside the hole to reduce friction.
UPDATE: New narrow-hole version added, designed to just fit over the Ender 3 V2 spool holder. The idea here is the spool will sit tighter to the spool holder and won't jump and jerk around as much.
The example in the images was printed using 3DQF Brick Road Yellow PLA. I print these at around 20% infill, print them face down and you won't need supports etc - an easy print.
