Stopper for Ground Glass Adapters ( 10 & 14mm )

Background

This is aimed at helping a clumsy person reduce the risk of broken glass. They use a Sneaky Pete Mega Globe from Vape Wellness to bubble filter their medical cannabis vapour.

Design

The glass pass-through adapter pictured has standard female 10mm and 14mm ground glass fittings. These stoppers will fit snuggly, leaving the rounded end protruding for removal.

Printing & Finishing

This print was made with the last few meters of Crystal Clear Iceland Blue PLA I bought as a sample from 3DFilaPrint. The fill pattern shows through the translucent walls giving another dimension to the print appearance. In these pictures you may note a little discolouration at the stopper end, I needed to run through a little more PLA to clear the previous filament colour (Green PLA).

I'd recommend twisting the stopper end in grit or glass paper to smooth out the layers. It'll help give to stopper a snug fit in the ground glass adapter.

10mm Stopper - 0.2mm Layers, 20% Fill ~ 0.49m of filament

14mm Stopper - 0.2mm Layers, 20% Fill ~ 1.11m of filament
