I took the excellent models listed below, kit-bashed the living crap out of them and came up with this pretty cool desktop pen/pencil/whatever storage model. The colors are layers, not MMU.

The Stormtroopers were first scaled down to be appropriately subservient to Vader, then I rotated them both outwards and sculpted them around his flanks to give a feeling of depth perspective, formation and hierarchy. There is a left and right obviously.

I then took the amazing Death Star Clock model and went absolutely yard sale on it to get a background feature I liked. With the level of detail in that model that was super not fun I can tell you, particularly working in Sketchup. I chopped it roughly in half, cut its thickness down 60 or 70%, removed all of the clock-specific features, extended a vertical square-side portion to get the fun bits raised and visible behind Team Empire, added some detailing to the extension, pulled a more-or-less matching half round platform for our friends to sit on and added indexing pegs for all three bad guys. I also mixed an infilling “background-of-the-background” to show orange through the exploding parts in an effort to simulate the explosion-ish.

Assembly is super easy, just a few dabs of super glue and stick everyone on their assigned peg. They play nice together, I promise.

You can play with settings as you choose. I ran the background at a 0.30 layer which is about an 8-hour print with the 3 colors. The heads I ran at 0.20 for detail and they are all in the 4-6 hours each range. Infill isn't really an issue with the heads, so I pulled that all the way back to 10%. I kept infill at 20% on the background because of the big wide-open flat spaces that need to bridge. All printed in PLA, no post-processing at all. The background is ~211MM so won't fit on a Mini without doing some splitting.

There are no supports required for any of these pieces. The backdrop prints flat on its back obviously, even though it won't come into the slicer that way because I'm lazy. Click the F button, enable my laziness.

I included a 3mf for the backdrop with the 3 colors so y'all don't have to figure that bit out. The rest are stl's so you can do whatever you want with them.

Enjoy!
