I was absolutley fascinated with this infill pattern right from the start of my 3D printing endeavour. As soon as I realized that Gyroid has holes in it that line up to form channels which not even intersect the idea was born to create a fancy pen holder.

And now here we are!

You can store slim objects (like pens) of approx. 10mm diameter in every coordinate direction as well as in four diagonal directions. 9 Objects can be stored vertically, 6 horizontally and 4 more horizontally, totalling at 19 if you leave the diagonals empty 

I suggest to use some supports around the outer edges to keep them tidy. Although I presliced the model for a 0.4mm nozzle I highly recommend to use a 0.6mm nozzle to drastically reduce print time.
