Lego 8458 Silver Racer Wall Hook

A wall hook for the Lego Silver Racer from 2000 to hang it facing upwards, wheels against the wall but no compression of the suspension springs.

The hook holds the car by a horizontal beam near the front, as indicated in the photos.

The holes are sized for 4mm diameter countersunk screws.

29 Apr 2021 - URGENT CHANGE

There was a weakness in the design that made itself known loudly today. I've uploaded a new version of the hook that should strengthen it enough. If you've hung your car on the "v3" version I would urge you to upgrade to the "v4" before you have to pick up the pieces.
