I am building a new ToM and I just have 8mm rod and LM8UU leftover from my Prusa Mendal. So I design an adapter kit to convert Makerbot from using 3/8" rod and bushing to 8mm rod and LM8UU linear bearing.
It will fit on standard wood ToM and work pretty well on my new acrylic tom too.

Print two pair of X-rodCoverInner/Outer parts for two side of x-stage.

Print 8 of YZ-rodCoverInner and press 4 nuts into one side. This part will install in the inner part of rod end.
Print one of Y-Lm8uu vertically. Remove bottom and inner support wall. The part should be symmetrical. Put two LM8UU into parts clamp this part in the Y-stage.
Print one of Y-support_8mm. Install three 624 bearing and three nuts on the part.
