How I Designed This

It started as a double Helix on the botton stetched to account for deposition type of printers and added primities; torus, cylnder and hoiur glass and then on top used a sphere with bridging to create the holes and curved structures. All the elments were then welded together with Mesh Fusion tools (Modo).
