My reverse osmosis water system uses 1/4" and 3/8" push-to-connect fittings. These fittings are easy enough to connect, but slightly harder to release. You have to push in the little ring part and pull the tubing at the same time. Larger SharkBite fittings have a release tool, but I couldn't find any for these small sizes. Most people probably wouldn't have much trouble doing this without a tool, but I find it easier with this simple little device.
I designed the tool with large enough tabs to get your fingers on and added a hole to hang it on a pegboard hook.
