I have been setting up to install Hero Me Gen 5 cooling system on my Ender 3 Pro, but spotted a couple inconsistencies in the documentation when choosing an extruder adapter:
I had an "all-metal" Creality upgraded extruder, which is not the OEM one (with a triangular beam around the filament exit hole) and not the dual-gear one, which has a rectangualr beam, but is somewhat different in sizing and positioning, this one - https://creality3d.shop/collections/extruder-kit/products/upgraded-replacement-aluminum-mk8-extruder-drive-feed-for-creality-cr-10-cr-10s-s4-s5 ; there wasn't an adapter for it
I have a direct-drive conversion installed, MDD v1.3 from printermods.com ; Hero Me Gen5 docs only mention v1.2
So there wasn't a suitable adapter for this combination of hardware. After conferring with EXTREMELY helpful printermods.com support, I cobbled together this. It lacks finesse (no fillets on the rectangular hole, and it is also about 1-1.5mm higher than it could be), but it fits perfectly. If someone wants to polish it and add all the niceties, dm me and I will get you a tinkercad link.
Putting this up in hopes it might help someone.
Printed in PLA+ with some painted-on support enforcers in PrusaSlicer, with 90% infill as Hero Me Gen5 docs recommend for the extruder adapter.
