I mostly design functional stuff, but every once in a while it's 3D printer justification time and I make something for my wife (see also my Dyson hair dryer wall holder).
This little bunny is for earrings and other things like hair clasps. It prints in three pieces, fits together beautifully and apparently makes a nice gift, as my wife is giving these away to her friends frequently.

Notes:
When slicing the hex grid part, it's better to use so many perimeters (3) that the part is printed without infill. Makes for smoother printing. The hex part takes a long time to print because it has so many contours.
Parts fit onto a [Prusa](https://www.amazon.com/3D-Printer-Prusa/s?k=3D+Printer+Prusa&linkCode=ll2&tag=thingiverse09-20&linkId=28c787aef7c5a20cf2004b821dd161bf&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl) i3 print bed without scaling, but you have to rotate it a bit to make it fit.The hardest part of this was getting a decent bunny contour and defining it properly in CAD.
The hexagon contour is one of my favorite design elements, but when using it on an irregular shape like this, you end up with many "incomplete" hexagons, which have to be deleted manually. It's an iterative process that takes some time. I made some designs that had holes which were too small, taking forever to print and making it pretty unusable
