Happy May the Fourth from MiniWorld3D! This model is inspired by Darth Vader's Castle as it appeared in Rogue One - A Star Wars Story, and in the comics! This is where Director Krennic visits Vader during the movie.
Located in the volcanic planet of Mustafar, Vader resided in this fortress, said to be built on an ancient Sith temple's ruins & a cave strong in the Dark Side. (From Wookipedia http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Darth_Vader%27s_castle)
This model comes in 2 versions:
For the lamp, I printed each separate part at 0.3 mm layer height, 10-15% infill. The castle alone was printed at 0.2 mm layer. I sanded each part's flat face where the next part sits to ensure a tight contact, then glued. I then filled the gaps with putty. I then masked the lava rivers and painted a black base. Then I added stone effect spray paint to the mountains. I then painted all details with acrylics and used LED tea lights inside.
