I kept hitting the hotend fan with my fingers when setting up prints. I created this fan duct to try to make it slightly cooler looking (hopefully), and to make it so I wasn't sticking my fingers in a running fan.
If you have the E3D fan that looks like the one pictured, it should fit right on, I have mine on with no glue, tape or screws.
Supports are needed, at least at 50%, if you look close, you can see a slight imperfection at the top of the horn, I had the support settings set at 50%, buildplate only, should have had settings at 50%, everywhere.
I will add that this duct, on my printer at least does add a slight whistle to the fan noise. It's not bad to me, but it does have an effect, so if you're going for the quietest possible sound, this might not be the best option
