How I Designed This ===================

How I made this thing?

A corner is a corner, especially a desk has a very sharp corner. I designed this to "mimic" the corner of a desk while also providing a safety feature.

Using Blender:

I added a cube and measured 15cm to get my desk height.

Then I added second cube and placed it over the first cube and began stretching it out until I had my basic shape of the guard.

I turned the first cube at 90 degrees so as one of it's corners was in the middle of the second cube.

Next, I added two more cubes and placed them on the corners of the second cube and rotated one at 45 degrees and the other at -45 degrees.

Using the Boolean modifier, I selected "Intersect" and made a clean cut of the two angled cubes.

I then added another boolean modifier and cut the mid section of the second cube using the first cubes dimensions.

At this point I had a basic "C" shape.

Jumped into Edge mode and selected an edge and pressed "Ctrl + B" to bevel out the edges to make them round.

That was how i made this thing.
