This is a battery cap for the Milwaukee M12 cordless tool battery. The battery has recessed contacts for cell 1 negative and cell 3 positive, but it has exposed contacts for 2 intermediate balancing contacts which can short out.

The cap friction fits on to the battery with a firm hold, yet can be pulled off when you tug on it.

This is the basic and first version, future features will include:

• More aesthetic clean lines
• Redesign to full length that protects the locking tabs
• Design a variant that can clip onto a carabiner for easy carrying on a belt or tool bag
• Design a variant that can be mounted onto surfaces.
