Background

I played this game once with friends and wanted to buy myself one. Sadly, it was out of stock (at least in my country) so I decided to design my own version.

You need 24 tokens. Each player uses four of them, three with a rose (or another flower), and one with a skull. The original version comes with tokens for 6 players, and each player gets his/her own colored theme. I looked for the free stock images and designed stickers which later were put on both sides of the tokens.

Then, there is a box with four small magnets (5x5x5 mm) and a box lid with metal washers glued at the bottom. It makes a secure enclosure for the tokens.

An ancient game, Skull is simple to learn, but dangerously difficult to win. Successfully bet and bluff to fool your opponents, while seeing through their deception to find the flowers. Be wary, though—if you reveal a skull, the consequences are dire!

Print and assembly instructions

All models printed with PLA at 210 degrees and table set to 65 degrees.

For the tokens I used 100% infill, to give them some weight. I used a smooth PEI surface for better stickers adhesion.

For the box, I used a 10% zig-zac infill and a textured PEI surface to give it better look. Also:

  • bottom box part supports were used - for the location of the magnets.
  • box lid no supports - the skull emboss came out quite ok, but I suppose the result may vary, depending on the filament you're using.
  • box lid - changed filament color at 0.8 mm (4th layer)

Post printing - Tokens stickers

I used stickers from the https://www.avery.com/

They have a multitude of sticker papers. I used A4 sheet with 12 circular stickers on each side, each 6cm in diameter. They provide an easy-to-use online tool for designing the stickers layouts, so if only you have the images, it shouldn't be difficult to design your very own version.
