Here it is, my biggest model, the gigantic, kick-ass, 1 meter long Omega Class Destroyer from Babylon 5. (thats about 40" for the metrically challenged).

The ship weighs about 3.4kg, and is made up of 356 parts, and on my Printers, took a total of 280 hours of printing. It mostly screws together for ease of assembly, with smaller detail parts glued on. I broke the ship down into parts to get the best results from 3d printing for each part, and there are almost no supports needed.

The ship was designed to be printed completely on an FDM printer, but there are a few parts such as the guns, and some detail panels that would benefit from being printed on a DLP resin printer. I will add a few option parts in the next few days, that are designed specifically for DLP resin printers, as above probably the guns, and a few other small parts that would benefit from the extra detail. No part exceeds 200mm on the print bed, so that is the largest size print bed required.

The ship has LOADS of space inside for wiring for LEDs, though its not a very brightly lit ship, what lights it does have can be easily installed. There is also plenty of space to fit a motor/servo/stepper to make the rotating section spin.

Please read the linked Readme document below, as it details various assembly notes and errata, provides a full list of extras required to build it (such as screws, styrene/brass rod, etc), and gives a full list of parts, their quantities required, weights, and print times.

This is not a weekend build or print, it is a seriously big model kit, and intended for those who really enjoy building big ass model space ships, and are prepared to put in the time and effort on it.

EDIT 8/9/19: For some reason Thingiverse has a fault and hasnt generated a zip file so you can download the whole ship. If that doesnt work, i've zipped the sections up here: http://members.iinet.net.au/~canison/Omega/Head.zip http://members.iinet.net.au/~canison/Omega/Rotate.zip http://members.iinet.net.au/~canison/Omega/Aft.zip http://members.iinet.net.au/~canison/Omega/Engine.zip

EDIT 23/10/19: Someone just picked up there is a missing part. The lower right inside blast shield piece was missing. Have just uploaded it as part H24bx1.stl.
