Watch Stand with Storage and Display Box

This is a spring loaded watch holder/stand. Simply squeeze it together, place your watch on it and let go and the spring will hold it snug. Also included is a box that the stand, with the watch on it will fit in for storage. I also put a 1mm inset in the top of the box that's the same size as the base of the stand so that the stand can be placed on top of the closed box and it won't slide around.

The idea was to have a spring loaded stand that would adjust to different size watches (printed at 100% it will adjust from 7" (178mm) to about 8-1/2" (215mm). The spring I used is 2-1/4" (58mm) long and has an ID of 1/4" (6mm). You do NOT want a really stiff spring.

Please print them as they load into your slicer. The box does NOT require support but the stand parts do.

Please lube the sliding parts of the stand before assembling, then put the spring on the base, squeeze the legs of the top together just enough to get it together then work it back and forth until it smooths up.

ETA: Forgot to mention that you'll need to carefully separate the top of the box from the box itself. Slide your knife between them and work carefully around until it pops loose.

Box requires no support. Watch stand may print OK without support, but prints better with it.

Lube the stand sliding surfaces!

I put clear silicone lube (I used Dow Corning 111, but any clear silicone should work fine) before I assembled the parts. Put the spring in first, then squeeze the inner legs just enough to get it together. Work back and forth a few times until it smooths up.
