I made this model in order to keep using my old case, the Thermaltake Versa H17, but with my new processor that produced much more heat (i5-12500). However, the stock H17 is not a very good case in terms of airflow, and there are virtually no holes in the front panel.
Without this mod, my 12500 reached around 95 degrees celsiusin the OCCT test, and was barely not thermal throttling.
With the modification installed, it now has much more airflow, and only reaches 72 degrees celcius.
This print snaps on between the front panel and the main body of the case without any other modifications required. This modificaion is completely non destructive, while incrasing airflow significantly.
