This is a remix of the brilliantly designed "Easy Universal Z-Braces for CR-10 / S / S4 / S5" by jonathanlundstrom https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2805226.

This is remixed to adapt it to an Adimlab printer, but this remix, the original version above or the M8 threaded rod remix (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3021451) should fit a wide variety of printers out there on the market.

The biggest difference between this remix and the original was not to tap into the end of the 2020 extrusion, but instead, increase the bottom holder screw diameter for a 5mm screw & 2020 extrusion nut. The top and bottom holder's overall width was increased to 13mm to add a little more plastic around the threaded rod areas. Use a 3/8 inch or 10mm threaded rod and cut to 23 inches or 584mm.

Note: if you do not have an Adimlab printer you will need to measure to determine the threaded rod length.

Hardware Needed

Top Bracket: 4 each, 4mm extrusion nuts; 4 each 4mm x 10mm screws

Top Holder: 2 each, 4mm nuts and 2 each, 4mm x 16mm screws

Bottom Holder: 2 each, 5mm extrusion nuts and 2 each, 5mm x 12mm screws

Threaded Rods: 2 each 3/8 x 23 inch and 8 each 3/8 nuts

OR 10mm x 584mm and 8 each 10mm nuts

For the 1/2 inch version, I do not know what the optimum length should be.

UPDATE: 1/8/2020 Fixed the 1/2 inch threaded rod version. Made the nut opening a little bigger to allow the nut to fully turn. I have also enlarged the bracket for the 1/2 inch version a little bit. Finally, I have renamed all the files. There are two sizes of parts, file names with 38, as in 3/8th of an inch and file names 12 as in 1/2 inch, is the new naming convention.

UPDATE: 1/24/19 added a new version for 1/2 inch threaded rod by request. The rest of the hardware remains the same. The cut length of the threaded rod may have to be adjusted. Also if you don't have a miter box and a hacksaw I recommend them to cut the threaded rods, then use a file to put a little chamfer on the cut end.
