I've made it a habit to print a sample vase whenever I buy a new kind of filament – be it color or material. These vase models are designed to fit one into the other with a spiral shape and diameter step up/down of 4mm (except for one with 3mm, but don't ask me what I was thinking at that time...). Depending on printer tolerances, they should slide into the next-larger one with an air cushion dampened motion (and an annoying grating sound if not).
2019-07-29 UPDATE: Added sizes 104,108,112 mm Ø
Printer:
TronXY X5S
Rafts:
No
Supports:
No
Resolution:
0.25 - 0.3 mm layer
Infill:
None
Notes:
Printed in Vase / Spiral mode, with 3-4 bottom layers, 0.6 mm extrusion width from a 0.6 mm nozzle at 40-60 mm/sec. I've got watertight results most of the time, but it seems this is down to the machine and/or luck.
