This is a replica of an Australian picnic table which can be found in many natural parks all over the country. These picnic tables are of high quality and are very comfortable to sit at. They are constructed out of wood or of recycled plastic. This type of table sits four people.

The table top is 13.3 cm (5.2 inches) by 6.3 cm (2.5 inches) in size. The table is 6.3 cm (2.5 inches) high. The table consists of a lot of planks and pins. The pins and holes make it easier to glue the parts together.

When all parts are printed, they must be glued together. I have created an assembly guide for the picnic table as a PDF document which you may want to download here:

https://www.dreamtime24.de/Thingiverse/Dreamtime24_Picnic_Table_assembly_guide_Rev01.pdf

You can print the table planks in a brown color to simulate wood. The pins can be printed in a black color.

Please note the following list describing how often the STL files need to be printed.

  • Table pin V1.stl

Print this item 40 times. 35 pins are needed, but some spare pins are nice to have.

  • Table seat planks V1.stl

Print this item twice.

  • Table seat support V1.stl

Print this item twice.

  • Table side 1 V1.stl

Print this item twice.

  • Table side 2 V1.stl

Print this item twice.

  • Table support V1.stl

Print this item once.

  • Table top planks V1.stl

Print this item once.

  • Table top support V1.stl

Print this item once. Position the pins in a vertical position on the printer's build plate.

Enjoy printing these items.

Print Settings

Printer:

FLSUN Super Racer

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2 mm initial layer, 0.2 mm layer height

Filament: GIANTARM PLA New Brown

Notes:

The orientation of all items in the STL files should be already fine. Only the pin has to be rotated to match the orientation in the picture below. If a plank has holes, they are facing upwards.

Post-Printing =============

Glue parts together

After the print the planks and pins have to be glued together. A description will be released in the next weeks on this site.

How I Designed This ===================

Picnic table design

The picnic table was designed with Blender.

Items on your printer's build plate ===================================

When you have arranged all the parts on your printer's build plate, it should look similar to the picture.

Pins

The pins are really tiny. Use a very slow speed to print them. I have used 10 mm/s.
