Hi friends,

Don't know for you, but when I need to use my M3 screws, the nut is always at the wrong place : at the bottom of an inaccessible place. Not easy to access and even harder more to maintain at its place.

So I created this wonderful gadget : the stopnut!

It is a simple cube with the place for an M3 nut at the bottom. The cube is pierced. It let the screw pass through to let you use any length of screw. So, you can position the nut at it's ideal place and maintain it during the screwing. I have chosen a square section and not a cylinder because it's easier to catch it firmly and if it turns that is immediately visible.

To complete it I have added a normal wrench. I have added too a support for finger for some special positions where you need to maintain the nut and the piece together.

In brief, this little stopnut, try to be as universal as possible.. for it's aim :). However If you have any suggestion let me a comment or a message.

Hope you'll like it. Feel free to comment or post pictures if you print it.

Notes:

The stopnut is very small (4cm including the wrench) so printing is fast and low filament need. I suggest you to use a fine precision (1mm) and high infill (about 80%). I print it with brim. Support is needed only if you want an elegant impression. Without support, the lower part of finger support is not clean... on my printer.
