Hi friends,
I don't know about you but for me I find that my Artillery Sidewinder X1 spool holder is not easy at all. I first used the Skinah spool holder https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3850399) which is very well designed.
But IMHO, a filament guide was missing. So I designed mine. And I added support to install the end filament detector. It was a very good idea to design it removable because I realized later that the Sidewinder X1 detector was not compatible with my octoprint :(
But anyway. It might be useful to someone else.
After that, I tried two-color printing and found it was a good idea to have coils side by side to change quickly and easily. So I reused and extended the Skinah roll to allow one (in the center or on the side) or two coils.
And I adapted my filament guide for that.
This is what you see here.
Everything is printed without support. I fill 20% for the filament guide and the detector and 50% for the rollers.
I reused the original m3 to screw the filament detector and 2 m3x8 for the filament guide.
I hope this will help you.
Bonjour chez vous.
