Galaxy S5 Qi Charging Motorcycle Cradle

This is a Qi wireless charging cradle that is compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S5's OEM wireless charging back. Designed to work with the RAM EZ-Strap Mount, which utilizes a 3/4" ball socket and a Qi wireless charging DIY kit from Ebay/Amazon. Completely printed but not yet mounted on motorcycle for testing, but ball socket joint seems to be real secure and phone stays put.

Inspired by tactic's bike mount, modified to work without the charging case and just the charging back.

Uses my own 3/4" ball mount but could be used with 3daybreaker's Ram compatible Look-a-Like mounting system, just use that ball and necessary hardware.

Instructions

Printed all 3 pieces at .2 mm layer height, 40% infill for ball, 20% infill for base and holder. Once printed tap ball with 5mm tap and use 5mm screw and nut captured in ball to connect to base. Insert Qi DIY kit into holder and slide into base. Superglue/Vapor weld parts together for final water resistance (hopefully).

Note: the Qi PCBA used in this project was purchased from ebay and included both a micro usb break out board with pigtail wiring and micro usb port directly on board.
