After installing the LGX and moving the filament runout sensor the hotend wiring did not have a stable path and so I designed these parts to fully support the cables while not not pinching it or interfering with the max print height.
Proper flow rate is key for these parts. If you are over extruding it will be too tight and the parts could break or you could damage your wiring.
Please use the calibration guides on the TeachingTech website for proper calibration. https://teachingtechyt.github.io/index.html
Print in the orientation provided in the STL
Mount Installation (see pictures)
1 - While placing the mounting bracket above the hotend insert the hotend cable
2 - Insert the two M3x18mm bolts into the mount
3 - Attach the LGX
4 - Make sure to align the PTFE tube properly and using the X gantry for leverage press down level and firmly to fit the mount to the wheel pegs
Cable Guide Install
1 - Align the guide to the back left and front right bolt holes on the top of the old extruder plate.
2 - Hand tighten M3x10mm bolts with M3 Nuts
3 - Insert zip ties
4 - Carefully smooth out the extruder wires and lay them gently into the guide slot
5 - Carefully Smooth out the hotend wires and lay them gently into the guide slot
6 - Close zip ties. DO NOT Overtighten. They are there as support only and not to force them in place.
Misc notes:
Cable guide - Supports from bed only
LGX mount - Supports everywhere BUT use support blockers for the holes as the can be printed without supports.
If using a 0.4 nozzle, four walls is recommended for the lgx mount otherwise two if 0.6
Hardware required.
x2 M3x18mm for the LGX mount
x2 M3x10mm for the cable guide
X2 M3 nuts
(Zip ties optional)
