8 Floor Retraction Test Towers

Retraction Test Towers with different distance between the towers.

I usually start with retraction distance test. Then I use the setting/retraction distance (number of floor plan) that has the least ammount of stringing (after reviewing the print). After that I do the retraction speed test.

Specifications

Base/Foot height: 1,5mm

Floor height: 5mm

Number of floor plans: 8

Distances between towers (5 different models): 10 - 50mm (center-to-center)

I use Creality Slicer/Cura Slicer to setup the retraction test (se pictures).

Setup Retraction Distance Test with Creality Ender 3 V2, 0.4mm nozzle and print quality 0.2;

Command: Distance

Starting value: 1

Value Increment: 1

Change Layer: 28

Change Layer offset: 7

(This will print the first floor plan with 1mm retraction distance, and lastly 8mm retraction distance for the last floor).
