When the z-height of my Prusa MK2.5S is about 30 mm, the threaded z-axis touches slightly the original "Z-axis-top-part" and when these elements touch, they generate an irritating vibrating noise while printing.
So to overcome this irritating noise I made this damper which, when printed in a flexible filament, takes away the noise. The wall of the damper is only ~0,4 mm thick and consequently the z-axis has still sufficient room to 'wobble'. The damper fits snugly in the hexagon shaped recesses of the z-top-parts.
I printed a set in TPE with a shore hardness 45D. The left damper is a mirror of the right damper and they are marked L and R to make sure you install these on the right place.
