The (or at least my) basic model of the Opel Rocks-E (supposedly identical to the Citroen Ami, but there are some differences) comes with four sets of holes in the cross beam under the dash. These holes are suposed to mount screws to hold the baggage net and the bag hook (I haven't yet found out what the fourth hole is supposed to be there for).

On some variants of this vehicle, these accessories are already factory mounted. On other variants (so I was told), the threads for the screws are already provided inside these holes - not so in mine. All I got was four sets of holes - a larger rectangular hole and a smaller round one.

So I had to find a solution: a small clip that I can push through the rectangular hole that will provide an M5 screw thread in the round hole.

The thread is to capture (and retrieve) the clip in case it gets pushed in too far - fishing it out with tweezers and a bent bicycle spoke is a pain in the back; the interior of this vehicle is rather cramped…

I printed the clips in Prusament PC Blend, 4 walls, 30% infill, snug supports. I re-cut the threads after printing to make putting in the screw easier. Yes, using a regular nut or a thermoset nut might also work - but I didn't want to have to fiddle around with a possibly loose nut inside that beam, and I don't have thermosetting nuts in my arsenal (yet). But I had good experience so far with the strength of printed threads in PC blend, and in this case there's ample thread length to go around.
