I was making one for a friend, but I was having problems because the original number tray was too solid. Once the original cap was on, I could not remove it easily.
Thus I remade/remixed the cap - I added some ledges, which keeps the cap from becoming flush with the cylinder. (Also allows you to use a coin to pop it open.)
I also shrunk the cylinder down - there was a fair bit of space left for my number tiles, between the lid and the top of the number stack.
(The Catan Numbers featured were from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1807588)
Edited to add: A second cylinder (cylinder_remix_5-6_player.stl) so it can hold the extra 10 numbers for 5-6 players.
Also doubles as a holder for stacks of pinball quarters. (Cautionary tale: if the quarters have room to move their weight, they can pop the cap off.)
Resolution:
.25 layer height for cylinder, .18 for cap
Notes:
If you want to correct me on the resolution - awesome. I've heard that having the same layer height could be awkward because the layers perfectly match, leading to a REALLY tight connection. (I printed the cylinder faster at a thicker layer.)
