Switchplate cover for a Lutron Maestro motion-activated switch. Includes a cowl over half of the motion sensor to reduce the field-of-view.

I designed this because walking past my laundry room, with the door left open, would turn on the light. Now the motion sensor won't trigger until a person enters the laundry room.

For best results, print vertically and with a wide brim (15mm or so), along with auto-generated supports set to “support on the build plate only." This will create a small support under the cowl that is easily detachable. A raft may be necessary if your printer is a bit finicky and a brim doesn't provide enough bed adhesion.

If you need the cowl on the other side of the sensor, you can flip the object in your slicer. For Slic3r/Prusaslicer: right click on the object, and choose “Mirror → Y Axis” or “Mirror → X Axis”, depending on how you've oriented the switchplate cover on the build plate.
