Attention this design assumes you know how to properly handle high voltage safely. I take no responsibility for anything, should it go wrong.

This design was originally from SpaceGoats. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4604901

It did not quite fit the meter securely and I did not want to glue it. I also wanted something a bit different and wanted the outlet to be a bit more secure, so I redesigned the whole thing. The meter snaps in place and the whole box can be assembled with various hardware.

This design uses the following components.

  • 3D printed box and lid
  • Drok power meter https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YC1XHKQ
  • Cable (I had to trim one of the prongs because I actually wanted to use it in another L6-30R) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MG9C48C
  • Leviton L6-30R plug https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00002NAT9

I had some hardware laying around. I used self tapping sheet metal screws to hold the lid on the box and I used some machine screws with nuts on the back of the lid to hold the outlet in place.

I am not sure how accurate the meter is, but its better than nothing.

Cheers and happy printing!
