Have you ever unlocked the puck lock on your work truck, only to set the lock itself on the deck or on the side step - or somewhere else inside the cargo area only to accidentally kick it while moving around, or worse yet just totally lose track of it when it's time to button things back up?
Well I have, and I did it one time too many before spinning up CAD and assembling this very basic cradle for my slick lock branded puck locks. Now I've got a place for my lock to hang out when I'm working in the truck that keeps it out of the way and I'll never lose track of it again.
This model was designed specifically for the slick locks branded puck lock, but that's a pretty generic design and likely fits with plenty of other similar models. I've included the F3D file in case you need to alter the scale, or adjust the mounting point.
Printing Recommendations: This is one of my early designs so the model orientation is incorrect. Flip it around so the back side of the cradle is facing down in order to minimize support materials required. I'd also suggest using at least 3x perimeters in order to maximize the lifespan of the screw/bolt hole. My version was printed with PLA+ using 3x perimeters almost 3 years ago and is still going strong.
