IKEA Hacks - ALEX drawer handle cutout router template.

I have a desk with Ikea's ALEX Drawer Unit underneath and a short BILLY Bookcase stacked on top. So many small items have been pushed onto the shelves, I decided I needed some extra drawers.

This template was aimed at allowing drawer fronts in BILLY (36cm wide) to match ALEX (33cm wide).

Given the size of the template vs my printer bed, it's made in two parts. These are joined with a pair of M6 x 14 Counter Sunk Screws with M6 thin nuts. There's a stepped edge to allow the cutter to clear the template.

The template is clamped to the bench and drawer front, position depended upon the side of the drawer you want, the size of cutter and the method of router guidance you are using.
