I wanted to be able to control the placement of my MagSafe charger, and since I have plenty of photography friction arms with ¼ 20" threads, I decided to create a mount with a built in thread.

The print requires a standard ¼ 20" nut to be embedded. When Slicing, add a layer change in purse slicer to pause the print and move the print head out of the way. I printed at 0.30 Draft and the layer change was at layer 23.

The print will start normal but then perform a filament change operation to give you time to hand place a nut inside.

Once printed, The MagSafe is a friction fit into the mount. Then spin onto a friction arm or any other accessory with a ¼ 20" screw and place your iPhone anywhere.

I put mine on the inovativ digiplate pro as part of my workflow. so when I put my phone down, it charges and keeps the screen in view.
