There was no dual z mod for my SP-3 printer so I've designed my own. It's not complicated and works very well.

I've designed dual Z mod for my TwoTrees Sapphire Pro. This mod helps a lot with bed shaking while fast printing and printing with high accelerations, it provides better stability for heatbed. You can also use dual z leveling with this addon.

I printed some calibration cube's with 7k acceleration to compare printer with and without the mod.

Parts:

3D Print:

  • 4x - Profile_Mount_Bracket
  • 1x - Stepper_motor_mount
  • 1x - Main_Z_Plate
  • 1x - Bed_Plate_Drill_Guide (To drill 5mm holes in printer's bed plate)

To buy:

  • x12 - 3x14mm Screw (to mount linear bearings and lead screw nut)
  • x12 - 3mm Nut
  • 2x - Linear Bearing LMK8UU
  • 2x - 8mm Linear Shaft 300mm
  • 4x - 8mm Linear Shaft Support SK08
  • 1x  - Tr8x2 Lead Screw with Nut
  • 2x - 375mm 2020 Aluminum Profile
  • 1x - Usongshine Nema 17 17HS4401 Stepper Motor (with cable and stepstick)
  • 4x - 3x6mm Screw (to mount stepper motor)
  • 19x - 4mm V-Slot Nut
  • 8x - 4x9mm Screw (to mount shaft supports)
  • 11x - 4x6mm Screw (stepper mount and profile brackets)
  •  1x - Stepper Motor Coupler
  • 3x - 5x15 (or longer) Screw
  • 3x - 5mm Nut
  • 6x - 5mm washer

You can also use this mod only with lead screw, it will still work pretty well.

Print Settings:

All parts must have enough stiffness and strenght so I printed them with ABS.

  • Infill - 40% Cubic
  • Perimeters - 3
  • Top & Bottom layer - 4
  • I recommend using brim while printing with ABS
  • No supports
