I've used 6201-2RS bearings for a lot of projects recently, and wanted to make a better 3D model to design around in Fusion360.

This is the current result, it's not 100% accurate when it comes to the bearings internal geometry, but it was the outside apperance and measurements that were important to me.

Source for all parameters used: AST Bearings

Included:

  • STEP-file for import into your favourite CAD software.
  • Fusion360 archive file for full history and paramters.
  • STL-file for those wanting one of those.

If you need it in a different file format, you can get that via the download option online here on FUSION (Fusion360 online)

This file is not meant to be printed, this is solely made as a drop-in when modeling something that will have the proper 6201-2RS bearing added

For those who need specific dimensions of this bearing before downloading, they are:

  • Outer Diameter: 32mm
  • Inner Diameter: 12mm
  • Width: 10mm

I hope this will help someone as much as it has already helped me.

TODO

Fix internal geometry

The internal geometry of the bearing is not accurate at all, I still want to make it accurate and add the proper internal bearing cage that makes sure the bearings stay at equal distance from eachother (Check cages and retainers documentation on the AST Bearings link above.)

Fix rubber seals

The seals on the model is currently just some flat extruded circles, in the proper bearing they have a specific shape and slot into the bearing a specific way (Check closures and seals on the AST Bearings link above.)
