This is not a full remix but rather an addition to the original great design by alecs.form to improve capacity and storage space by connecting several spool holders together into a single “spool shelf”. Saves plastic, optimizes storage.
If you print original holders, you can fit only 6 generic spools on a long side of 760mm-wide panel. With this addition, it is possible to have at least 10 spools without compromise of holder rigidity. Actual length is limited by my printer's height.
I don't know if it was intended, but holes in the holder are meant to be connected with each other :) So I have 2 connectors – one is 176mm, another is 196mm (for 4 and 5 “holes” spacing between holders). 760mm panel fits exactly 3 extended holders of 2x176mm + 1x196mm.
For each holder, print 4 inserts and a 2 short/long connectors.
Tolerance for insertion is pretty tight for rigidity, I even literally hammered them in. Printed with ABS without supports or brims, 3 walls, 20-40% gyroid infill, 0.3mm layer height.
