By request, here is a solid, one-piece version of my earlier threaded Dragon Egg. It will scale as big as you like. See my threaded dragon egg for more info.

I recommend supports for this one. In my threaded version, I cleaned up the overhangs near the bottom. But I haven't had time to do this with this solid version. So it might need supports near the bottom.
