In the foreground, a monumental wave dominates the scene, captured in the very moment before impact.
The flowing lines of the sea naturally guide the eye toward Mount Fuji, a symbol of balance and permanence.
Behind it, the red sun creates a strong focal point, while small birds in flight add depth to the stormy atmosphere.

This HueForge-style bas-relief was created using only 4 colors.

🔹 Colors

  • Red, Dark blue and Beige: No special requirements.

  • White: 💡 The result shown in the photos was achieved using Sunlu PLA White (standard PLA).
Highly opaque or matte white PLAs may produce a bas-relief with too much white and less defined shading.
For best results, use a white PLA with slight translucency.

🔹 Model Dimensions

  • 180 × 130 mm – approx. 40 g

🔹 Included versions

  • (For MMU) = 3MF file for PrusaSlicer + MMU (automatic color changes) or multi-tool printers.
You only need to load the MMU with the 4 filaments (Dark blue, Beige, White, Red).

  • (NO MMU) = 3MF file for PrusaSlicer without MMU (manual color change pauses already set)
    - It starts with Dark blue
    - Layer 8 (0.76 mm) - Beige
    - Layer 11 (1.00 mm) - White
    - Layer 13 (1.16 mm) - Red
    - Layer 14 (1.24 mm) - Dark blue
    - Layer 17 (1.48 mm) - Beige
    - Layer 20 (1.72 mm) - White

  • (STL) = Universal STL compatible with other slicers and printers.

You will need to use the following settings:
             - Layer height = 0.08mm
             - First layer height = 0.20mm
             - Infill = 100%

Add the Color changes or Pauses in the slicer preview:
             - It starts with Dark blue
             - Layer 8 (0.76 mm) - Beige
             - Layer 11 (1.00 mm) - White
             - Layer 13 (1.16 mm) - Red
             - Layer 14 (1.24 mm) - Dark blue
             - Layer 17 (1.48 mm) - Beige
             - Layer 20 (1.72 mm) - White

🔹 Printing Notes

  • Printability: the model can be easily printed on any 3D printer with a 0.4 mm nozzle, without supports and without special precautions.

  • Do not simplify the model: reducing the level of detail may lead to unpredictable results.

  • Slicer processing time: a few minutes, due to the high level of detail.

  • The “floating regions” warning can be ignored.

  • The model can be scaled in X and Y, but not in Z. It can also be split into multiple parts to create a bas-relief larger than the print bed.
