I Remixed this from quick61's design for 3mm filament, and to use 608zz bearings (as thats what i had laying around)

I have a 3Doodler 3d pen, and the 3Doodler brand filament is stupid expensive. I usually just use the 3Doodler to "weld" together multi piece larger prints. I bought the cheapest 3mm filament i could find online and if you cut it into small sections and straighten it by hand it works well enough.

I imagine 1.75mm filament is easier to load and pull through this. the 3mm is tough, you have to take the top part off to load it in there, so you might want to trim the tops of the posts enough that you can get the top on and off without breaking it.

it works, but I'm going to design something a little better i think. this might work if you load a spool into it, straighten some of it, cut that off and leave it loaded. changing filament too many times will undoubtedly break it.
