so I had a simple magnetic carmount that had the "wrong" size and angles to stick to my dash well, so I re made the mount and ball portion of this. The Ball is 17mm diameter, and I am reusing the socket and magnetic part of the original stand:
The original stand was this from amazon

Note this goes between the air vents on my 07 ford freestyle.

Post-Printing

Super Glue the two halves together, note that the ball and socket joint also helps hold the pieces together.

How I Designed This

Designed in FreeCAD:
Built trapezoid sketch, padded it up Unioned and Cylynder
Unioned a sphere Padded a elipses to a seperate cube
Cut the the padded elipses from the base Added 8mm radial fillet to base of the cylynder
Created a big block positioned halfway through the stand duplicated the stand and block
Executed a cut operation with one set Executed a intersection with the other set
*Exported as Left and Right Side
