PDF

This HueForge-style bas-relief was created using only 2 colors.

🔹 Colors

  • Black: no special requirements. Any black PLA is suitable.

  • White: 💡 The result shown in the photos was achieved using Sunlu PLA White (standard PLA).
Highly opaque or matte white PLAs may produce a bas-relief with too much white and less defined shading.
For best results, use a white PLA with slight translucency.

🔹 Model Dimensions

  • 180 × 130 mm – approx. 30 g

🔹 Included versions

  • (For MMU) = 3MF file for PrusaSlicer + MMU (automatic color changes) or multi-tool printers.
You only need to load the MMU with the two filaments (black and white).

  • (NO MMU) = 3MF file for PrusaSlicer without MMU (manual color change pauses already set)
Start the print using black filament. When the printer pauses, replace the black filament with the white one and resume the print.

  • (STL) = Universal STL compatible with other slicers and printers.
You will need to use the following settings:

    - Layer height = 0.08mm
    - First layer height = 0.20mm
    - Infill = 100%

Add a Color change to White or Pause at layer 8 (0.76 mm) in the slicer preview..
    - Start the print using black filament.

💡 If you are using a highly opaque or matte white PLA, perform the color change or add a pause at layer 9 (0.84 mm) instead of layer 8.

🔹 Printing Notes

  • Printability: the model can be easily printed on any 3D printer with a 0.4 mm nozzle, without supports and without special precautions.

  • Do not simplify the model: reducing the level of detail may lead to unpredictable results.

  • Slicer processing time: a few minutes, due to the high level of detail.

  • The “floating regions” warning can be ignored.

  • The model can be scaled in X and Y, but not in Z. It can also be split into multiple parts to create a larger bas-relief beyond the print bed size.
