I turn a lot of pens and use Micro-Mesh sanding pads to polish them when finished. I wanted a nice rack to hold the pads, and I think I went a little overboard with my design. This rack is fully skeletonized with a honeycomb pattern to aid in airflow to dry the pads out after use.
The rack holds 9 sanding pads sized 2-inches by 2-inches square, and fits the Micro-Mesh brand polishing/sanding pads.
For best results, print the rack laying on its back, and then print the pad trays flat on their bottom. I separated the trays from the rack to aid in a better quality print, and to negate the need for support. Use a small dab of CA glue to adhere the trays to the rack for a permanent assembly.
