This replacement pusher design aims to mitigate several jamming scenarios with the stock pusher on the XLS which may be caused by stacking tolerances, including:
Darts getting stuck in the pusher ring
Darts getting pulled backwards on prime
Pusher pushing the next dart in mag along with the top dart
Pusher ring breaking due to thinness
In addition, the cross design promotes flatter contact with the back of the dart while not restricting airflow any more than the original design. Some other enhancements were made, including a marginally wider pusher for a better seal even without the O-ring, and extended pusher length to push the dart slightly further into the barrel and not block the turnaround. It is compatible with both short darts and full length darts.
The pusher carrier is a drop in replacement with the existing arm - just unscrew the old one, attach the new one, and screw it right back. The pusher is designed as a separate component for easier printing.
Print pusher carrier with -.1mm horizontal expansion for easier fitment. Pusher itself can be printed normally. Pusher is attached to the carrier with a single M2.6 screw standard to most Nerf blasters. Reuse the same pusher O-ring from the original pusher.
