What better way to celebrate Winter than with your very own snowman? And if you happen to live in the South, like I do, you're probably better off printing your own than waiting for Mother Nature to deliver with the snow :)

This snowman is designed so that, printed with the proper color filament, no painting is necessary. Once assembled, printed as 100% scale, he stands 316mm tall and is 175mm wide at the base.

-=[ EDIT ]=-

As requested, I have added a version of the head without a pipe hole. That way you can make a snowkid. I mean... if your snowkids don't smoke..... :)

Post-Printing

Refer to the assembly guide photo for how each piece fits together. The pieces fit together snug enough to allow for assembly with or without glue.

*Several Notes Regarding Assembly*

  • Keep in mind that the eyes, buttons and mouth parts are not interchangeable and look quite similar. Care must be taken when printing to assure the correct part goes into it's matching hole.
  • Further, the eyes, buttons and mouth parts can only be inserted one way. You will have to rotate each piece until it lines up.
  • The upper set of 'pins_long' go all the way through hat_ribbon and hat_lower
  • The lower set of 'pins_long' go all the way through scarf_round
  • snowball_bottom is designed to just sit in the base. You can rotate the base to get the best look and then glue it in place if you choose.

How I Designed This

This is my third attempt at using blender and it is by far my largest, most complicated blender model yet. This model would not have been possible without the inspiration, advice and tutelage of reddadsteve in learning blender. Thank you!
