I will never be able to create masterpieces like this sculpture by mushogenshin, but I did want to add a base to it - all great busts need a base!
The original model (I based this on version 3) was done in inches, so the first thing I did was convert it to millimeters. Once that was done, I added a three tier base along with a nameplate with Tesla's name. I realized, though, that I really didn't have anywhere to put this at it's original size, so I shrunk it down to 75%. When I did that, though, the lines forming some of the segments of the full name "Nikola Tesla" were too small to be printed. I could have went with a different font, but I liked that one :P So I created a second version with a smaller nameplate with just the last name "Tesla" on it. When the plate is scaled down to 75% (only in the X and Y axis) this still prints fine. Finally, there is a third option without any nameplate at all if you prefer that look.
So, to recap:
NikolaTesla_wBase =no nameplate and can be printed down to 75% NikolaTesla_wBase-Nameplate_v1 =full name on plate, cannot* be scaled down* NikolaTesla_wBase-Nameplate_v2 =last name on plate, can* be scaled down to 75%*
Be sure to print the corresponding nameplate that goes with the version you choose and only scale the nameplate in the X/Y direction.

Notes:
I used [Tree Supports] [Touching Buildplate Only] in Cura. This supports the model without leaving any visible scars.
If you would like a two color nameplate like I did, print the first layers in gold and swap to black at layer 10 (assuming a 0.2mm layer height and with layers numbered starting with 0). Category: SculpturesThe author marked this model as their own original creation. Imported from Thingiverse.
